We secured £881,589 for a high-net-worth client who required funds to settle a significant tax liability. Through close collaboration with Admiral and a pragmatic approach to complex income assessment, we delivered a solution that met a time-sensitive requirement.

We recently helped a high-net-worth client raise £881,589 through a residential second charge mortgage, to settle a substantial tax liability, requiring a specialist funding solution and a lender willing to take a common-sense approach to affordability.

The client’s income was derived from multiple sources, creating a level of complexity that many mainstream lenders would struggle to assess. Given the size of the loan and the nature of the income, careful packaging and clear communication between all parties were essential.

Working alongside Admiral Money, we were able to structure a solution that reflected the client’s true financial position. The application was personally overseen by Steffan Penry-Williams, whose clear and pragmatic approach helped ensure requirements were identified early, allowing the case to progress efficiently and minimising delays.

While the transaction presented several challenges along the way, strong collaboration between all parties ensured obstacles were overcome and the case ultimately completed successfully.

This case is another example of how specialist finance for tax bills can provide solutions where complex income structures require a more considered underwriting approach. It also highlights the importance of strong lender relationships when navigating larger and more intricate cases.

A special thank you to Sarah Stroud, Steffan Penry-Williams, Mike Walters, and Hannah Morgan for their hard work, communication, and commitment throughout the process.
